PCA.tv Evolves, KPCA.fm is Under Construction

Petaluma Community Access staff and one very helpful web expert are busily tidying up the PCA.tv website to make things more visually appealing, while also reorganizing pages and files to give them a more logical and intuitive flow.

We will also soon have a full-featured, interactive website up and running for Petaluma’s new community radio station, KPCA. There’s nothing open to the public at KPCA.fm just yet, but there will be very soon. Your patience is very much appreciated.

You Won’t Want to Miss the Annual PCA Members Party on September 29

Petaluma Community Access’s annual Members Party is coming up on Thursday, September 29, and this year you may not want to miss it, as planning for the launch of our new radio station is well underway, so there’s much to discuss at PCA. If you’re not a member yet, or your membership has lapsed, fear not! You can join or re-up on the spot.

Join us for a snack, a glass of wine or beer (thanks to Lagunitas Brewing Co., of course) and a conversation with your fellow PCA members & producers.

Every year we throw our members a little party to thank them for their participation in this grand community experiment known as public access media. Without our dedicated members like you, PCA would not exist.

KPCA control booth is under construction!

Nowadays we’re getting prepared to launch KPCA radio, a new low-power station on the FM band, which will feature programming produced by Petaluma-area residents for that very same community. Local radio by and for locals!

Upwards of 70 people have jumped into the fray already, expressing interest in producing a dizzying array of radio programming – talk, interview, news & current affairs, food & farming, and yes, there will be lots of music.

We will also be announcing the results of the current PCA ballot measure, which will allow us to add radio production to our organizational mission, plus two other related measures.

Join us if you can! Please send me an email to let me know you’re coming, so I’ll have enough food and drink – chris@pca.tv. This PCA event is absolutely free of charge to our members.
