Petaluma Community Access is asking the community to show their holiday spirit by participating in the first Petaluma Community Access Winter Holiday Video Contest. “Colorful lights at night and smiling faces gathered for family celebrations are my favorite memories of the holiday season, and a series of videos filled with both would be a great gift for our viewers,” says Petaluma Community Access Executive Director John Bertucci.
Submit videos sharing the holiday events, merriment, and festivities in your community. Examples of videos that qualify for this contest include but are not limited to Santa’s Riverboat Arrival in Petaluma, the Petaluma City of Lights Driving Tour, The Petaluma Festival of Trees, and the Petaluma Holiday Lighted Boat Parade. The contest is open to anyone in the Sonoma and Marin County areas who is interested in giving the community of Petaluma a look into the holidays in their community. For each Holiday video DVD submitted, your name will be put into a drawing for a chance to win various prizes! Entries will be accepted until January 20, 2012 and the winners will be announced on January 27, 2012.
Prizes include a free Producer membership or membership renewal (includes voting privileges and the PCA newsletter; use of PCA media resources and basic training on equipment for one Member Producer. Value of $50 per year for general public, $30 per year for seniors, students or low income) and the chance to have your video broadcast at a special primetime slot in the PCA programming schedule.
