In the West Region tournament, champions from Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Northern California, Southern California, and Utah compete for the right to advance to the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The West Region tournament uses an Olympic-style pool format in which each team plays a series of round-robin games against other tournament qualifiers. The top four finishers at the end of this phase of the tournament advance to single-elimination semifinal round competition. Semifinal winners then face off in the region championship game. All games in the single elimination final will be shown on ESPN.
